Mek Mulung (Jawi: مق مولوڠ) is a traditional Malay theatre 戏剧 that unique to the northwest state of Kedah in Malaysia. It became popular since the late 18th century and incorporates 把。。。合拼/包含 most elements of Mak Yong, Menora and Hadrah.
The theatre features 特写 a repertoire 戏目 of stories from local legends 传说 , which according to 根据 a source, amounted about 20 original stories, with few of them survived 存活(就是流传至今的意思啦) today.

The musicians and actors of the theatre 舞台剧 are exclusively 仅仅 male 男性, playing both male and female roles 角色. The basic dance movements are limited, abbreviated 简略 , crude 自然的/天然的 and mainly focus on the arms, especially the to-and-fro 来来回回, and up and down swinging.
The orchestra 管弦乐队 of Mek Mulung is predominantly 主要地 percussive 敲打乐器声的 and consists of rebana, gong and kecerek (concussion sticks). A small oboe 双弹簧
