A supermarket sells 8 pieces of burger meat in a pack and 12 slices of bread bun in a pack. Mohan wants to make burgers for the party at his house. To avoid any wastage, what is the least number of burger meat and bun packages can be purchased by Mohan so that the pieces of burger meat are equivalent to the number of buns?

This question can use LCM and HCF to find the answer

As the question ask for least number of xxx, then we should find out the LCM of 8 and 12.

LCM = 2 x 2 x 2 x 3 = 24

1 pack of burger meat = 8 pcs, how many burger pack need to be purchase = 24/ 8 = 3 packs
 

1 pack of buns = 12 pcs, how many bun pack need to be purchase = 24/12 = 2 packs

Least number of  burger meat to purchase: 3 pack
least number of buns to purchase : 2 pack

Process :

8 : 12 = 2 : 3

Take the Faktor Sepunya TerKecil between 2 and 3.

2 : 2 4 6 8 10 12 ...
3. 3 6 9 12 ...

Then,take the same one.

So , Mohan need to purchase at least 3 pack of burger meat and 2 pack of burger bun.
