The sun rose majestically in the sky heralding the dawn of a glorious new day. Jack was in high spirits because it was the Chinese New Year. People gathered in Petaling Street to celebrate this momentous day. When Jack arrived there, the atmosphere was up to the hilt. The crowd applauded when the organizer of the event was walking up the stage and giving a speech about the importance of maintaining this traditional culture. Chinese New Year music was played throughout the event. Afterwards, there were a wide spectrum of cultural performance. Jack enjoyed the Lion Dance very much. He was also on the edge of his seat as the dancers appeared in the attractive traditional Chinese costumes. Jack was totally flabbergasted by the performance from the artists. In the afternoon, the audience left their seats and went for lunch. Jack was not excluded, he was so famished that he could eat a horse. There was a variety of food and beverages sold ranging from fried rice to curry mee. The food was completely out of this world. At long last, the day ended with smiles among the participants. Jack left the scene merrily. It was an astonishing event, so Jack was proud to be a Chinese in this lovely country
